A meeting of the Academic Senate was called to order on Thursday, August 13, at 1:05 p.m. by Michael Graves in Life Science 3.

 

Of the 50 members of the Senate, 49 were present: Dillard, Lopez, Johnston, Hagarty, Greene, Sanderson, Cleveland, Fedora, S. Dunn, Smithers, Thatcher, Graves, P. A. Call to Order

1.  Introduction of seven new Faculty members: Michael Tischler (English), Jayne Turk (Speech), Ryan Petitfils (Math), Neil Carpenter-Alting (Theater), Alison Varty (Biology), Patricia Dunn (Nursing), & Fay Smithers (Nursing).

2.  Approval of  the “draft” minutes from the May 14th meeting.  MSP (Abel, Pompa, unanimous).

C.  Action Items

1.  Senate Executive Committee for 2009-2010 (Tom Murdock): MSP (Vancil, Coppin).
