Adding/Dropping Classes
Adding and dropping can be completed at the Admissions and
Records Offices at either the Weed or Yreka Campus. This process cannot be completed using our online registration system. Add/drop forms are available on our website, under the Admissions & Records link or at either COS Campus. Add/dropping may be completed using one of the following processes:
- In person
- By fax - (530) 938-5367
- By mail - the postmark will be used as the official drop date
Adding
Regular Semester Classes (17 week classes): Students are encouraged
to register for classes prior to the beginning of the semester. If a student
registers for a class after the first day of class, the following time
limits and processes apply:

A student may add a class without instructor
approval (unless the class is closed). |
| Week Two/Three |
A student may add a class at the discretion
of the instructor. (The instructor must sign the add form) |
| Week Four |
A student may add a class after completing
a petition which verifies attendance prior to week four and
is signed by the instructor and the Vice President-Instruction. |

Drop Dates:

Last week to drop a class without posting
a "W" on record.** See Academic Calendar for more information
regarding dates. |
| Week Fourteen |
Last week to drop a class without a grade.**

Some students (EOPS/SSS and/or athletes) must have a counselor signature
before dropping.
