Bird Identification Workshop
These workshops are designed to instruct in methods of identifying, attracting, and enjoying birds at yard feeders and in their natural habitats. What we mean is... Typically the Friday evening session involves a lecture and slide show presentation. Then, on Saturday morning, you get in the college van, and the instructor drives about 75 miles northeast to the Lower Klamath Lake/Tule Lake National Wildlife Refuges. You continue to drive around looking at and identifying birds. Will it transfer??? This course is degree applicable, and will transfer to the California State University system. There is no required prerequisite. This course is offered in fall and spring semesters. The instructor is Ken Beatty. He can be reached by contacting COS at (530) 938-5555.
