College of the Siskiyous offers a variety of distance courses taught in two distance modes. Online courses can be taken from any Internet-connected computer, making them a good alternative for those who live at a distance from the campus or cannot be on campus during regular class hours. Some Internet classes are "hybrid" courses, blending online with on-campus work. Please be sure that you can be available for the on-campus portion of this work. Videoconferencing connects several classrooms in the County to offer real-time interactive learning. We currently have video classrooms on the Weed and Yreka campuses, and at Etna High School, Tulelake High School, Butte Valley High School, and the Happy Camp Community Computer Center building.

If you are interested in taking a Distance Learning course, the links on this page will provide you with the resources you need to register for and take these classes.

Registration. For information on registering for a class, consult the How to Register page. Other registration information can be found on the general Registration page or you can go directly to Online Registration.

Schedule of Classes and College Catalog. To search the current list of courses offered, go to the Class Schedule page and select the applicable semester. Distance learning classes can be found by typing in a "D" in the Campus Location search. If you are in Siskiyou County, also search the Location (W,Y, or O) to see other classes taught at your location. The College Catalog can be found online. If you'd like a paper copy of the current Catalog or Schedule, fill out the Information Request Form and specify in the "comments" section what you'd like to have sent.

Assessment & Advising. You must meet with an advisor or counselor prior to registering if you plan to earn a bachelor’s degree, an associate degree, an occupational certificate, or if you are enrolling in a course with a prerequisite. Fee Waivers and Financial Aid. Additional fee waiver and financial aid information can be found on the Financial Aid page.

Orientation. A section of online orientation is offered every semester. Contact the Counseling Office for more information.

Library Services. Visit the Library Services to Distance Education Students page or the main Library Services site.
