CAMPUS MOTOR POOL

Currently our van pool consists of  6 - 15 passenger vans and 3 - 7 passenger mini vans.  Vans are issued on a first come, first serve basis.  Should conflicts or urgencies arise they will be handled by discussion with all departments involved. To make a reservation for a van, please telephone Maintenance at Ext. 5233.  Please make sure that you have submitted all required driver's paperwork and your account number prior to the date you need a vehicle.   Please submit your trip request form to Vickie Donaldson prior to picking up a vehicle. Coordinate with Maintenance to pick up and return vehicles during office hours.  They will do walk around inspection with the driver at that time.  Both parties will sign an “Inspection Check List”.  Please allow a few minutes for this this process. Upon returning from trips, drivers will complete a “Trip Report” form.  This form along with the keys, and vehicle will be turned into the maintenance secretary.  Please discuss any vehicle problems at that time. Bob will then do an inspection in addition to a road test on all vehicles.  All necessary repairs and cleaning will be complete before Bob releases a vehicle.   A period of at least two working days will elapse between all vehicle reservations to allow enough time for proper in-house repairs, cleaning, and safety checks.  Vehicle tune-ups will still be done on a regular basis.  Vehicles will be taken out of service until all repairs are completed.
