Welcome to College of the Siskiyous MESA!
What is MESA?
The MESA Community College Program is a grant-funded program through the state Chancellor’s Office that offers assistance to eligible COS students so they can obtain a BA/BS degree in a math based major, such as:
- Math
- Biology Bio-Chemistry
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Engineering
- Computer Science
- Architecture
- Pre-Med, Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Dental
- Nursing (Nursing students must intend to transfer to a 4-yr University)
- Earth Science
MESA assists students who qualify to prepare for, and graduate from, a 4-year college or university. Through MESA, students develop academic and leadership skills, increase educational performance, and gain confidence in their ability to compete professionally.
MESA focuses on students from groups who historically have had the lowest levels of attainment to 4-year and graduate level programs.
To participate in MESA, you must first qualify.
