Eligibility

To be eligible, students must:

Have completed the 8th grade, and be enrolled in the 9th to 11th grades

Be between the ages of 13 and 19 (except veterans) and have a need for academic support in order to pursue a program of post-secondary education.

Come from a family in which neither parent has graduated from a four-year college and/or meets the low-income criteria established by the U.S. government.

Attend one of the following high schools: Butte Valley, Dunsmuir, Etna, Happy Camp, McCloud, Mt. Shasta, Tulelake, Weed, or Yreka.

Selection is also based on recommendations from teachers, counselors, and/or principals, and a personal interview.
